Thanks Sarah, really chuffed with Gizzie's progress! x

Great class really pushed the dogs x

We have just heard about more local sheep attacks by dogs. Please don't assume your dog(s) will be ok with livestock. Assume they will not be ok with them and keep them on a lead. It is very stressful for the sheep even if the dog just chases them :-( So sad to keep hearing of these attacks. ... See MoreSee Less

If the ewe is pregnant ( which most likely are at this time of year ) the stress can cause them to have a still birth later on 😔

They recently had to put down a pregnant ewe at Victory Wood as she’d been attacked and couldn’t be saved. 😢

Hope its not on Victory Wood - will spoil it for responsible dog owners. Thoughtless, selfish, twats.

Not only that, the farmer has the right to shoot your dog if terrorising sheep on his land. Definitely keep dogs on leads x

It's been a busy week for us. Six dogs with varying degrees of separation anxiety. A couple were very bad already and only young puppies. This is a very stressful condition for dogs to cope with and is very easily preventable. Even dogs that can be left alone can still be suffering from separation anxiety. One of the classic tell tale signs is when the dog constantly follows the owner around the home when they are there.

If your dog has separation anxiety it can be treated and solved. Book a home visit and we will help you to remove your dogs anxieties.

It can be preventable by teaching the puppy/dog to accept time on its own from the beginning by supporting them and having the correct ground rules/boundaries in place. Giving them a space of their own that is reinforced as a happy and safe place. By ensuring that they are not left too long and that they have enough exercise and mental stimulation etc.

How is it preventable?

Well done to all the clients that came to training today despite the weather. You were all amazing! :-) ... See MoreSee Less
